JULY 2010
Welcome to the belated July and August edition.
I apologise for the delay in July's newsletter.
July's newletter is combined with August's goodies! There are plenty of late specials for those who have waited patiently.
What has been happening?
We have been busy with bookings. And I managed to find the best deals for all!
For those lucky ones reading this newsletter from overseas, we look forward to your stories overseas upon your return. And to the many leaving the shores of Adelaide in August, I like to take this opportunity as a friendly reminder to pick up your travel documents.
As promised in June. The anticipated expose of Lapland from our Finnish friend, Hanna Kimunnen for your consideration.
FINNISH LAPLAND AND HELSINKI
Travel to the Arctic Circle in Lapland, Finland. Lapland offers great experiences during the winter. Experience the Northern Lights, winter twilight, try winter sports and many other things. Finnish Lapland has more than 200 wintry days a year, which gives you a great opportunity to experience white winter. The temperature is usually from -10 to -20 degrees, but can fall to as low as -40 degrees. During this cold period you can spot the amazingly beautiful Northern lights.
Try cross-country skiing, snowshoe trekking, Nordic walking, downhill skiing and snowboarding. Alternatively, you can also go on a snowmobile safari and husky dog or reindeer sleigh ride.

You can make your trip even more extreme by accommodating in the snow hotel built of ice and snow or in an igloo! Igloos are fully roofed over with glass so you can spot the starry sky and Northern lights just above you.
Lapland is a magical place to visit during the winter, but it offers a lot in summertime too. Around Midsummer in Lapland the sun does not set for several weeks, as it doesn’t rise during a certain period in winter.
If you travel to Finland, you might also want to visit Helsinki, the second most northern capital city in the world. Helsinki offers a lot to see, do and experience at any time of the year. You can see lots of architecture and you can visit the amusement parks, zoo, churches, or some of the various museums and galleries. Besides museums, there are many historical sites and attractions to visit, such as Suomenlinna sea fortress. Music, in the form of concerts, operas and festivals is very popular and there are many events regarding to it. Finnish people also love theatre, markets, sports events and many other events and exhibitions that you can visit all year round.
